I found this recommendation on the Rune Audio website from one of the Rune Audio developers

"If you want to "listen" the difference between HiRes and LowRes, you MUST try track #3 Tchaikovsky Hopak from Mazeppa@176/24.
This is my reference recording for dynamic range test.

This track brings many "really audiophile" systems to their knees.

Unfortunately to get the HiRes versions one has to buy the whole album, but at CD quality one can buy just the track.  I'm not sure that I want to fork out for the whole album, but if anyone else is prepared to do so and make the comparison I'd be interested to hear their comments.
