The only way to find out is to borrow a couple, and try it?
Personally, I think two are enough as they sound fantastic. |

I'd imagine that you'd only need to bi-wire with Proprius for very high power applications such as large venue discos. The minimum necessary stages will usually give best results; no need to add complexity if it can be avoided.
I just got an image of Graham on stage scratching/mixing on a pair of "ebay special" vinyl decks into a complete GSP system, speakers blasting out HQ music and a myriad of OAPs breakdancing on the dance floor... Well at least Yorkshire Airlines now know who to go to to sort out in-flight entertainment. Edited by Ash - 12 Nov 2014 at 10:11pm |

That image made me smile, thanks Ash.
I bi-wire my Proprius amps to my speakers and like the apparent increase in mid/high detail. I haven't tried bi-amping with my Proprius amps and the loan pair but suspect one pair has no trouble powering my speakers at my preferred listening levels! Echoing Kevin's earlier comment Kevin I am currently enjoying my 14 year old pair of AE505 speakers thanks to my Proprius amps. The 505's have been upstairs in a spare bedroom and I wonder why did I stop using these speakers? Answer: they probably needed a better amp than I had back then, a-ha... Proprius! |

The Proprius are fantastic for both speakers and some headphones. I shall not be parting with mine now I realize the freedom that they provide me with. I was originally so adamant on selling them, wasn't I, after I decided to give up on speakers. But I was, at the same time, slightly put off by confining myself to only using headphones, so much so that I tried to find a better solution. Luckily I found the solution before I sold them. Conventional headphones ultimately do not give quite the same experience as listening to speakers, I know. I wanted transparent, full-frequency sound without room interaction and I realize that I can still have this with the Proprius. They fully justify their expense and I will feature them in a youtube video eventually, when I get around to analyzing my final system early next year.
