From my experiences I would look at the PSU, this made a good improvement with my TT albeit not the technics.
Also you could look at a new arm cable or as previously mentioned a different mat. Don’t forget the mains cable.

I already have a good external PSU.
The achromat is glued to my Strata platter, so changing it is not easy. As for the arm cable, maybe this would make a change, but I don’t fancy fitting RCA sockets to my deck, so I would have to hard solder it.

fair comment I wasn't sure what may you were using or that the arm cable was a capture lead, neither of which sound an easy solution.

Good move on the external PSU, Kevin. FWIW I've shared various drivechain improvements earlier in the thread, a mix of replacing the regulators and various capacitors. |
