Dear all

There are plenty of "reference" quality headphones on the market, each with their particular advantages and disadvantages. However, does anybody have any recommendations on which ones 'work best' with the Solo amp?

That will at least narrow down my choice!

Thanks.

You have to try them and decide which you like yourself.

I have to say the Solo drives many of mine so well.

Not surprisingly, try the Ultrasone edition 9, Grado RS-1 and Senn HD600 if you can.

I very much like my ATH-W1000 and have also heard very favourable comments on the W5000 with the Solo.

I have had the opportunity to listen to the following headphones driven by a Green Solo.

- ATH-W1000
- ATH-W5000
- Senn HD580
- Senn HD600
- Grado RS-1
- Ultrasone PROline 2500
- AKG K501
- AKG K701

While all sounded great I find that the AKG K501 had an special affinity for the Green Solo and that is my top pairing.
