Is it safe to use a vinyl record cleaning fluid for the stylus?

Anyone have any experience with this?

The specific record cleaning fluid I use to clean my LPs
is Disc Doctor's Quick Wash Record Cleaner, which is composed
of "purified water, non-hazardous & biodegradable 1-hydroxypropane &
non-ionic surfactants". And it says in big letters on the bottle:
"Does not contain isopropyl alcohol".
So should be safe to use for the stylus, right?

Because I was thinking, most stylus cleaning fluids are usually
just isopropyl alcohol, which some suspect of even damaging
the stylus by dissolving the glue that holds the stylus to the
cantilever, so maybe there is no reason to pay 10 $ for 50 mL
of purified alcohol, if I can safely use my record cleaning fluid instead.

Any advice?

I just use "Mr Clean magic eraser". It's a white spongey thing which you just dab the stylus onto a couple of times and then brush off with an appropriate hard brush for styli. I think it has got some sort of nano-mesh of jagged fibres that mechanically scrapes off all the dirt and stuff while leaving the hard diamond untouched. You can read a lot about in in various forums.
