Hello all.

When I was a freshman at University,
I was walking up the stairs in the Fraternity House,
when I heard what I thought was a gunshot!

It turned out one of the Brothers was playing the excellent Fiedler/Boston Pops RCA Shaded Dog soundtrack of Slaughter on Tenth Avenue... at... a pretty good volume!

Led to a discussion of the fellow's equipment,
and me buying my first real "Hi-Fi" system.

That was... maybe... 57 years ago.

Yet the beat goes on.

And the current project is to get me a phono stage to go with a nice preamp I just got,
but it's just high level, no phono stage.

And, I have never heard it, but seems to me like the Accession is what I need.
I have a fair number of mono albums.
But mainly, because I'm sort of a "tube guy".
And ALL the reviews and articles I have read about the Accession keep using words and terms like:
- smooth
- quiet
- "moving"
- non-fatiguing
- "non-electronic"
- "non-mechanical"
- neutral
- natural
- "human-sounding"
- "brings out the emotion in the music"
- and "almost electrostatic in its transparency"

Nothing about how it "measures".
Just about how it sounds, and how it "feels".

So, says I to myself, sounds like a good piece of tube equipment to me!
(I just won't take the screws out and look inside ! ! ! LOL )

Comments certainly welcome.
But I think I've done my research pretty good.
Think I'm about ready to order me one.

Best regards,

James

P.S. Maybe one thing: the MM version of the Accession will certainly be happy with a Grado moving iron cartridge, won't it?
