Hi all, I'm new around here and I'm considering buying a used Era Gold V which turns out is from 2007, right on the changeover from transistors to FET technology. Which is better sound wise? Or, does it make no difference at all?
Thanks, Chris.

Thanks Cyreg, so provided "the chip/chips haven't gone noisy" it should sound exactly like a new one. Perhaps I'll save some more pennies and go for a Reflex M reading some reviews it does apparently stand head and shoulders above the Era Gold V..... Damn the internet!!
