Hi guys,

I am considering making some minor signal flow changes in my current system which in the process will mean that the phono stage will be interfaced directly to a balanced input, and I was hoping to get the communities opinion or suggestion on this.

My system is not a typical hi-fi rig, it incorporates mostly professional audio components designed for recording and mixing audio. Yet it is primarily designed around the turntable as a source for either general playback, recording and digitising records, or music production (sample based). Apart from the hi-fi components, my system includes a passive stereo monitor controller (4x stereo input / 3x stereo output, mono switch, polarity switch, mute L/R), two loudness monitors (peak & average level), and an AD/DA interface for connectivity to my computer.

The phono stage (Era Gold V) is currently patched into my system via two Radial Engineering LX-3 passive splitters with balanced isolated outputs, which allows me to send the stereo output of the phono stage to both my monitor controller and AD/DA interface simultaneously. The benefit of this is that I can passively switch between the direct feed from the phono stage and the processed feed from the AD/DA.
As convenient as this, it is not a necessity and I would have more flexibility with routing options by patching the phono stage directly into the AD/DA interface.

From the specs that I have read, the Era Gold V recommends a load impedance of 10K Ohm, and my AD/DA interface has an input impedance of 10K Ohm so there should be no issues there. All analogue I/O on the AD/DA interface is 6.5mm TRS jack, electronically balanced. Would the CuSat50 or Lautus interconnects with TRS connectors interface effectively between the output of the Era Gold V and the inputs of the AD/DA interface, what is the maximum length of cable appropriate for this, and will there be any interfacing issues between the two components?

Sorry for the long post!
