It's doubtful that you're screwed.
Crossing interconnects at rt angles to mains cables is a good idea if you have the room. I don't have the room to dress cables in this ideal way but don't really notice any noise with Lautus running close to mains cables, regenerator etc. As said - try a demo. |

Sorry, I did not intend to dis-hearten you by presenting best practice ideals.
Most systems will fall short in practise. The extra length of the Lautus may allow some additional clearance in routing. In my own experience, having tested Lautus in particular against a number of more expensive and well respected and reviewed cables in my collection, I preferred the Lautus for its sonic attributes and have since replaced all my interconnects with GSP products excepting only my tonearm cables. Do give them a try, you may also like what they bring. |

It's not a duel, it's about letting you hear differences, if any, and you choose (if you wish) which is preferable to you. I accept I will not always win, but facilitate the ability to compare for those who are interested.

A most eloquent reply.
Wish I had Graham’s turn of phrase. Colour me Interested! Sometimes the devil’s in the detail no?

Thank you. I wasn't always so good at this, but since leaving 'comprehensive education' I've had 48 years to try and get it right... Almost there?

I replaced the interconnects between the Majestic to amp and Reflex M to Majestic with Cusat50 and had instant success. Especially the bass now is more dramatic and goes deeper like almost sub territory. My old cables were of very good quality though. Price/performance ratio is top notch! Graham makes good stuff!
