Is it possible the prefix of "MJ" in transistor part #s like MJxxxxx is representing "Morgan Jones" contribution to transistor technology?

Or is it more like "multiple junction" technology in using epitaxial construction?

Provided you don't do anything stupid, this amplifier will accept hundreds of modifications, without going into self destruct. It will put up with a dead short on one channel, while "complaining like hell" on the other channel!

And it's because the output transistors are tough, really tough, like overcooked beef steak tough.
Are you putting the DAK amp through some torture tests?

More like a bloody cock-up if left to counterfeiters...

Crystal epitaxy deposition is a multiple stage process involving photo-masking, etching, mask-stripping, photo-masking, deposition, mask-stripping, photo-masking, etching, repeat, repeat, repeat, ad infinitum.

My experience of photo-masking only went down to thou level (printed circuit boards) and water or air impurities were enough to scupper a production run.

Today, we have microscopic crystal lattices deposited over a perforated emitter layer, which since 2014 has been entrusted to a people ruled by a dictatorship that can't even get Marxism the right way up!

Or to put it another way...

Anything which takes the crap generated by an output stage constructed like the compact cassettes they used to make, and uses it to control gain, by feeding it back, or to assist in gain by bootstrap constant current, is adding (yes even in negative feedback) to the dynamic distortion.

Tell me a time when a dictatorship was interested in any freedom? One freedom being music!

and counterfeiters are many... makes it harder to find any good semiconductors!
