@ Peter, nice of you to offer. Let's see what develops in the not too distant.

@ Bruce, the "70s" amp will take some of these.

Last weekend I visited msphil and heard his wonderful hi-fi system again. This time it had the prototype 5V 3A PSU and sounded slightly better, or more accurately the music did. I think we'll all find the 5V 3A PSU is well worth waiting for!

Thanks John, it was great to see you. I can't wait to hear Grahams new PSU for the Squeezebox Touch as well. Let's hope that the case problem get sorted soon.

We are now relying on a kind engineer in Sheffield who has actually spent his own money buying machinery to try and help us.

Our kind engineer is making progress. It looks like our existing supplier doesn't want any new work, and if he's reading this he's probably nodding in agreement, but it would have helped to say something. Likewise it would have helped if a Wetherby based firm had indicated they weren't really interested either.

But we are lucky to have Rob, who I first met more than 25 years ago, and coincidentally is a friend of John C, and owns a Sheffield engineering company, and is going to a lot of trouble and actually buying machinery to do the job for us. I have noticed over the years that helpful folk are your own folk, me being half from Chesterfield, John being from Sheffield, same with Rob; not forgetting Leo from Mansfield, and Phil from Chesterfield who commissioned us to make two. And then there is our wider community (this place) who I see as our own folk.

Anyway, here's what Rob drew up today...
