The promised case did not materialise and I'm not asking our current supplier about it ever again. However, a friend of a friend is working on a similar style (but wider) case for the "70s amp" and depending on its success, we'll be getting him to do the power supply case too.

True. Wooden can look attractive and have their merits, Admittedly PSUs don't always suffer from EMC problems, received or emitted. There is however the consideration of the heatsinks required.
