5V 3A PSU

Having to rely on others to make enclosures which seems to have become a major problem in the UK. To have them made overseas is only an option for those having turnover in at least the low millions (otherwise you'd have to be crazy taking such a financial risk). Although I am personally capable of manufacturing enclosures I don't have the luxury of the machinery or factory space it would require, which would also require the same sort of turnover, and I'm afraid to say that in an over-saturated market, the smaller brands are doing very badly. We're about average but not in the low millions and never were.

The UK skills shortage (absolutely predictable and has been for years) means I am having to rely on people of retirement age because their staff don't have the aptitude to understand nor design, and such people tend to be cashing in on pensions and have to be persuaded to do it. After two holidays in succession the one I asked to do the job has now contacted me to say he's starting on it.

There is possibly one other bespoke enclosure manufacturer with the required abilities, but I will be gobsmacked if their prices are affordable.

We used to be able to make things here. God help the youngsters because when we're gone they'll bloody-well need it!

Visited third engineering company today. Hopefully this time we get a case for the power supply.
