I'm also a fan of the more obscure variety, this gentleman had a hard story, but boy could he play guitar.

Have you heard the Allman Bros live at Fillmore East?  Duane Allman gives a master class on that album.  The rest of the band are pretty hot as wellSmile!

Dave Gilmour on Comfortably Numb, yes, but I think his solo on "Mother" from the same album is equally wonderful, and a different expression. His sense of line and climax is stunning.
