Hi!
I am new to the forum. I am an audiophile from Canada. I presently have a Reflex M on loan. First, hats off to Graham Slee, the loan initiative is a great idea. The Reflex M is astounding in my audio system (Clearaudio Performance DC, Ortofon 2M Bronze & Virtuoso V2, PL Dialogue 1 ad Tannoy DC6T SE). It is so good that I just keep wondering about the Accession, but it seems like it ain't available in Canada. Do someone know when it will be available up here in the great north :P ? Or is it possible to get one directly from Graham ? Cheers. |

Hats off to korichards (Keith) for making it all happen in the great north.
You know, I had thought we'd supplied him an Accession, but I must be getting forgetful. I shall have a word with John C (he makes things happen). |

Welcome to the forum, Raphael!
It's good you've discovered the delights of the Reflex M! It looks like there'll be an Accession to try out soon, too . .

Thanks for the reply guys! I'll ask Keith if he has an Accession for loan. Anyway I have to send him back the Reflex M, so I'll check with him. I'm looking forward to listening it. Also, I'm just wondering If I can buy directly from Graham Slee web site the Acession or I have to ask a local dealer ?

You can buy direct here: https://www.hifisystemcomponents.com/phono-preamps/accession-mm-phono-preamp.html
However please note there could be import duty to pay to Canadian customs (guess 5%), and any local tax (similar to our our VAT). The cart strips off UK VAT so you pay net plus shipping to us. Also Canadian dealers would refuse to assist in any aftersales which would mean sending back to UK in the unlikely event of any problem. It can be bought in Canada via https://www.audioallianceinc.com/collections/graham-slee , but I note they have not updated the page to include it. |

I had a word with John C to see if Canada would be getting a loaner unit, and this is how he replied...

Raphael, A warm welcome from me too.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the Reflex M, phono stages don't really get any better than that. Unless you go to the Accession. It's my understanding that you can buy tax free direct from the website shop here in the UK, but you will probably have to pay Canadian import duty in addition to carriage. I don't knoww how this would compare pricewise to your local stockist if indeed you have one. Just nticed that Graham has pointed you to the Canadian distributor. I think I'd be inclined to buy direct. Happy Listening Ian Edited by BackinBlack - 06 Dec 2016 at 1:38pm |
