I was taken to Rough Trade East in London as a present. They serve beer & sell music. What more do you need?

My favorite record shop was Recycled Sounds in Kansas City. Long gone, but what a great place.

Hi All
Went to a record shop in Totnes Devon yesterday and spent near on 2hrs in there "JOY" the 1st time since the lockdown, it was nice to be able to get an album in my hands and look at it. After the 1st lockdown you were only able to click and collect now since the 2nd you can go in and look around all be it when someone came out but I did not mind waiting outside in the cold. Buying on line is just not the same. I did not go there to buy anything ( that I wonted) just went there for something to do and to be able to walk into a record shop and look around. But I did buy a record it was playing in the shop and I thought that sounds vary good indeed, now I would not of got it if it had not been playing in the shop.

Do any of you agree with me about buying on line It's just not the same as going to a record shop is it.
Reflex M, Solo (both with PSU-1) CuSat50, Lautus, Spatia & Spatia links cables. Ortofon Bronze.

I would agree. I far prefer shopping in person, especially because a lot of the vinyl I buy is used. When shopping in person, there is a sense of discovery, "thrill of the hunt" of flipping through the used bins and trying to find something you might like at a favorable price. My favorite shop in my area is like that, and they don't overprice stuff though the selection is hit or miss depending on when you go. That's all part of the fun of digging for records.

With the current situation it's just not possible for me to go as often as I would like. I think I've been once or twice since the situation began. I have purchased some records and also CDs via online but it's definitely not the same.

There is one road in the centre of Toulouse which has several record shops on.
I always enjoy a visit, but it has been about a year since my last visit

I love going round charity shops looking for second hand vinyl LP's and CD's.

Love this place.  Used to work near there occasionally.
