Saw this advert on the TV last night, cashing on in the Vinyl is cool, interesting to see whose pressings they use.

At £5.00 for the first one it pays not to be too sniffy.
I bought the first one today, and it's a decent pressing, and sound great.
There are no clues about the cutting, just a bunch of numbers and DA (D'Augustino) in the deadwax.
I can't be certain about the master, but it's probably a digital master.

The record sounds great, and at a fiver it's a steal.

i already have copies of the first two albums so the third one at £15 is not as big a bargain.

How is the written  material.

At the moment there is a Russian label punting Jazz albums at about a tenner so I am wondering about these,

Seriously tempted if the UK releases follow the Italian (?) listing....

On the subject of jazz on vinyl I wonder if anyone has any of the Music Matters Blue Note re issues? I have a fair few in my collection and have to say the mastering and pressings along with the artwork are exemplary although they are on the pricey side they really are very special indeed and in limited numbers, highly recommended if like me you're seriously into your jazz.

I've recently become addicted to the MM reissues. They always sound so fantastic. I have about 25 of the 45rpm versions and a dozen of the 33rpm releases. Another thing that puts them at the top of the heap for quality is the presentation. Love the gatefold covers with the Francis Wolff photos.
