Lou Donaldson’s another good recommendation that I’ll be purchasing!

Coming very late to these forums after recently joining but thanks for that “100 Greatest...” link. At first I thought it was going to be other artists “covering” the 100 Greatest albums but was happy to see it was the greatest designed album covers.

Today's pick is "It's Time" by Jackie McLean. Originally released in 1965. My copy shown here is the recent Blue Note Tone Poet reissue. Check the lineup on this one.

Nice pick just, finished listening to this album then went right to the 4,5 & 6 album. Tone poet does a great job with most of their recent releases.

Today's pick is Pat Martino's 1974 LP on Muse Records, Consciousness. Recommended if you like jazz guitar with a dash of 70s fusion.

Bill Evans is also one of my favourite jazz artists. Having purchased a RSD issue of Another Time at some point (can’t remember when), was shocked to see the prices being asked on discogs. As yet I have not even opened this record let alone played it, now I’m half afraid to ! It it seems to be a habit of mine to buy a record and then forget I have it, so doesn’t get played for a long time after purchase. Only recently opened my sealed copy of E.S.T. Live in Hamburg box set, only to discover the first LP is badly warped. Sick as a parrot . To long since purchase to get it replaced, but it should never have left the pressing plant in the first place! Re: the Bill Evans, I bought it to listen to and as my wife pointed out I didn’t buy it to make a quick profit. I’ve seen some reviews praising the sound quality of this recording so it will soon find it’s way onto my deck 😎🤗

I’ve just snagged a 45rpm Analogue Productions reissue of Bill Evans - Live At The Montreux Jazz Festival. Purchased for listening for sure and sounds beautiful.
I also have recently purchased a DSD copy of Resonance’s “Live At Art D’Lugoff’s Top Of The Gate”. I agree we need more Bill !
