Me too, a nice metal case is needed. I get really wound up by all the devices that are wrapped up in plastic cases, sending all their RFI into the ether. Ideally the Pi and HiFiBerry Digi (and DAC) would benefit from independent power supplies, perhaps a refinement too far for most. |

I do think this is a bit expensive for a Raspberry Pi and a HiFiBerry Digi+. I have a new one of each arriving today at a cost, including delivery, of £81. I ordered them so that I can take advantage of the new metal HiFiBerry Digi+ case. My old Digi won't fit it. Edited by ICL1P - 18 Aug 2016 at 7:48am |

Quite a nice piece of hardware - designed and apparently manufactured in the UK. I also have to report that I have "defected" from Rune to moOde audio. I prefer the GUI and built in radio playlists, including the 320k BBC streams. Sound quality is easily on a par with Rune, if not marginally better. |

I'm trying to get Volumio 2 working, but have failed so far. Still with Rune. I had a quick play with moOde.

moOde is about to update from 2.7 to 3.0. Config screens make it quite easy to set up, worked "out of the box" for me.

Ian, Volumio seems to have dropped Consume Mode in the latest releases, which I think essential. So, I've decided to try MoOde. Setup was simple, but I'm surprised by the volume setting. In Rune and Volumio the HiFiBerry Digi setting disable volume control, but this doesn't appear to be the case with MoOde. Am I correct? How is yours set?
