Moth recommend using neat isopropyl for their RCMs.
Gives some people the jiggers because they’re expensive styluses are glued on & near IPA could loosen them.

Might try making a mix of 80% distilled water, 15% IPA & 5% wetting agent.
Is the pursuit High Fidelity a sign of mental illness??
I think so....

Best to check safe to use first as he said than have a broken cartridge.

There appears there is soon to be another RCM on the market, interesting back story.

I've had my Degritter for a few months now and am very pleased with it. I've just come across this video review of it . . .

Before I had my RCM, I used the Spin Clean system for years. It does do a decent job but you really need to be careful with it, otherwise it can just end up contaminating your records and make them sound worse than before.

When I used it I did the following:

1) only used 1 bath to clean between 10-15 LPs, then I would dump it.

2) wash SC brushes with clear liquid soap after every use, let air dry.

3) air dry records on a file folder rack.

4) if you have some really dirty records clean those last, or clean them in a separate batch from the less dirty ones. Some really dirty records may need more than one cleaning cycle.

5) 6 rotations in each direction for a cleaning cycle.

Good luck.

Great feedback. I think I'm going to return my SpinClean. After witnessing the Okki Nokki in action, I want an 'automatic' cleaner instead.
