I was really sad to have a recall request for the Klaudio RCM I have had on loan for the last 18 months, expected but not at all welcome and feel very privileged to have had the use over this time (a big thank you to Darren the owner).  As written elsewhere this has provided audible benefits for new, long standing and second hand vinyl not just in surface noise but overall reproduction.

Off the wall suggestion I know but wonder what the views would be of investing in a good quality Ultrasonic cleaner as part of the loan scheme and ‘loaning it out’ to members on an agreed chargeable basis; other than distilled water there are no cleaning solutions required and should be self-financing.

I know Jon and others have experienced the benefits of good cleaners and there has been quite a lot of chatter concerning cleaning devices of all types and wonder if this is something which had any merit to consider?

Thoughts welcome...….

It's an interesting idea, but we'd have to buy it first (how much?). How much would a courier round trip cost? Who would be it's carer?

I'm back and will be catching up on loan requests in the week ahead. The ultrasonic RCM would need to be used with distilled water to avoid residues on the cleaned records. I bulk buy the water and it is bulky...

Jon was still with us on 29th March according to a search of his posts, but not since. If you're reading this Jon, please respond so we know you're OK.

Thanks for your PM Graham, I'm in a really busy period at work and spending more time outdoors for health reasons so I've been away a while. My apologies to anyone awaiting a loan, I will pick up the backlog soon.
