Today's pick is the fourth and final studio album by Microdisney, 39 Minutes. This album is nearly impossible to find on any format in the U.S., so this copy had to travel a very long distance to get to me.

SL-1200 MK7 (modified) + Reflex M + PSU-1 used with AT150-40ML, AT VM95ML, Stanton 680mkII + Ogura, and Shure M35X cartridges.

Great stuff, more Cathal! I remember their second LP, particularly it's anti-Apartheid title.

That LP was actually a comp of earlier singles, prior to Everybody is Fantastic. Later on the label changed the title. I've got that one on LP and CD. The CD has some extra tracks from the In the World 12''.

I would say the Clock Comes Down The Stairs is probably their best studio LP of the four. I like all their stuff though. :)

Had a recommendation to give Bill Evans a listen. Evidently his album You Must Belive In Spring was re-released earlier this year. With Bill Evans on piano, Eddie Gomez on bass and Eliot Zigmund on drums, the trio give a remarkable performance. Listening to 'Theme from MASH' is quite special.

The owner of my local  vinyl store, Wah Wah in Wakefield, is doing a '365 spins' feature on his Facebook page. Describing a different record each day for 2022. Some of his taste just isn't in line with mine (rap, hip hop etc) but he's highlighted some classic albums that makes me go back and listen. Today's is David Gilmour, the self named first solo by DG. Not heard it before and must say it is an impressive showcase for Gilmour's guitar skills and shows how much he gave to the Pink Floyd sound.

Simple Minds "Empires and Dance" in the past I've dismissed this album as not being what they do best but now I've come to appreciate it for what it is, A vary good album.
Reflex M, Solo (both with PSU-1) CuSat50, Lautus, Spatia & Spatia links cables. Ortofon Bronze.
