Album: Queen - Queen
Turntable: MMF 5.1 with Ortofon Quintet Black MC

First one from the "#Queen".  #1973
EMI Records did they really know what they have bagged-in by getting the "Queen" onboard with them. Far from their best.
"Liar" is my Favorite track

The Telescopes - S/T LP.

A mix of shoegazey type sounds and psychedelic rock with some acoustic guitar blended into the noise. Gets a bit messy on the second side but very enjoyable overall. If you like this kind of music I would recommend checking out their earlier 12'' singles first. My copy is the '92 pressing on Creation Records. Note that this record has been reissued a few times with different cover art.

SL-1200 MK7 (modified) + Reflex M + PSU-1 used with AT150-40ML, AT VM95ML, Stanton 680mkII + Ogura, and Shure M35X cartridges.

I missed most of the bands the first time around because by the time I discovered them in the late 90s the scene was basically dead. I did see Ride and Slowdive however when they came to the U.S. for reunion tours.

The Durutti Column - The Return of the Durutti Column LP

Today's pick is this legendary debut album of guitar instrumentals mixed with electronic elements. Originally released in 1980 by Factory Records in a hand-assembled sandpaper cover. My copy here is a slightly later Factory UK pressing in an alternative textured cover that I luckily found as sealed NOS recently. This particular copy was cut at the Sound Clinic. There are also similar pressings mastered at Townhouse. I currently have two other copies of the album on vinyl and CD but haven't had time to do any comparisons yet.
