Testing out my latest GyroDec modification I played a mixture of old favourites and a few albums that I have been waiting to play on the new setup turntable.

Jack White's Lazaretto, a quirky pressing of an album I really like. It's always a delight when I get the browngrass intro to 'Just One Drink.'

Wishbone Ash live at HRH Prog 5. I've not known Wishbone Ash's music prior to tonight, but they performed superbly.

Hi Jon.

What kind of mod have you done to the Gyro ?

I'm not harmful, just introspective. You can probably think I'm weird, but it's not harmful weird.

I highly recommend for new music checking out Ty Segall. His output is second to none, where this leads to some hit or miss tracks and albums, there is a real talented musician and songwriter there.

Also his live shows are electric!

While i had mixed feelings about Cranage, it was abit bigger and busier thus year such that the usual trip out to the local pub for lunch was canned for the expensive hotel food prices to make sure i saw everything. I did spare Andrew the unseemly sight of me eating in the bar though,. Confused

To stop digressing though , while not opera fan I do like Carmen and it would seem that Mike Valentine knew this and has recorded a D2D collection called Espana which includes a couple of excerpts from Carmen.

(Seem to be having issues with Opera on my tablet posting links)

technically it was Mike's other half that got another wedge of cash out of me but worth it.

Now Chasing the Dragon are doing binaural recordings, more money Confused
