Not from my favourites list but came across a recommendation for this album by Sam Beam and Jessica Hoop and thought it worth passing on.  An excellent male/female voice combination with some fabulous guitar work. It's  a good recording with drum and acoustic bass that will test out any system.

Years back some friends played me some of Beam's stuff when he recorded under the name Iron & Wine. I really liked some of it, but never got around to buying the albums. Haven't heard his recent music either.

Played the new Depeche Mode album today. I haven't really kept up with their stuff since the mid-2000s but listened to their last 3 in preparation before playing this one. At least right now, I would say this album is better than those. Time will tell if it has staying power though. Pretty good vinyl mastering/lacquer cutting from Matt Colton @ Metropolis Mastering. Standard U.S. black vinyl is pressed at RTI, or at least plated there. I think the European market may have received records pressed elsewhere.
