I bought this awhile back and should revisit it. I think it does make more sense to go with the digital downloads in this case. I did the same thing with SW's Tears for Fears remix. I thought he did a great job with that one. A very interesting "deconstruction" of the original mix. None of these remixes will necessarily replace the originals, but they are interesting for fans to listen to.

Today's pick is Ocean Rain by Echo & The Bunnymen. My copy shown here is the '84 Japanese pressing on Korova/Warner-Pioneer.

In my ignorance I did not know about Steven Wilson.  I just read an article on his process and it is fascinating.  I must get to hear one of these albums or sets. Thank you.

As much as I love the punk and new wave of my youth  I have enjoyed AC/DC's Let There Be Rock tonight. A classic rock album.

Nothing wrong with AC/DC.

Today's pick is a 12'' single by KOKOROKO, an 8 piece afrobeat/jazz group from the UK. I really loved the group's mini-LP and this 12'' single is great too. Very well mastered and pressed at 45rpm. My only complaint is that this is too short and the band is well overdue for a full-length album. Maybe they can put out one of their live recordings on vinyl or CD eventually?

Here's a live version of one of the songs on the single.
