Now using modified Senn HD600...I basically swapped over the 600 drivers for the new silver silk baffle 650 drivers as I got bored with the ultra sorta neutral 600s and wanted the more bassy and lush - heck some still call it dark - 650 signature. Got the 600s used for £150 and spent around 80 quid for new 650 drivers...new earpads and headpads. Lovin them!!!

Update:

Got hold of a used pair of Mark 1 Audeze LCD 2 before the new less bassy Fazor drivers, after a PM chat with Jon (Fatmangolf). I didn't really get along with the brighter Fazor model. The sheer weight compared to the 650 was a bit much at first but my neck muscles grew I think and they are palatable now. Soundwise a very worthwhile upgrade and work nicely with Novo and ULDE.

Portable use is with Senn Momentum over ear model. Powered by the inimitable Voyager. Match made in heaven for my travels.

I´m listening to the Solo / Green Power with an AKG K271 MKII.

Since not more than one week, so a longer time of experiences is needed to tell about more than first impressions.

The 271 has a tendency to analytical sound. As a friend of the older bop-along N--M-Audio sound I am impressed about the Solos great musicality. Although it is separated from power over night, and every day starts a new "burning-in"-session for the Solo.

Fantastic!Clap

" Although it is separated from power over night, and every day starts a new "burning-in"-session for the Solo. "

It's intended to be powered continuously so if possible don't disconnect from the power at all.

Thanks a lot for this advice, oldagetraveller.

Just put the power unit into a separate socket where it can run nonstop as my Naim gear a few years ago. Excited for at least new sound experiences tomorrow morning and next days. Smile

Hi, New member here. This is my first post. Just purchased a Novo from a good quality Hi-Fi store in Falkirk Scotland. I'm using it with a pair of B&W P7 cans. Loving the results even though I've not fully burned in the amp yet. Absolute bargain compared to some out there. Clap
