Hi Graham,

I was wondering if you could tell me what cartridge you used when developing and testing the Era Gold Reflex? Are specific models there any you would recommend using with it?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam,

Welcome and thanks for joining!

Cartridges: Music Maker II, Music Maker III, Music Maker Classic, Goldring 1042, Ortofon VMS20EII (now discontinued), Stanton 890, Audio Technica AT95E, Shure V15 (loaned), and via the Elevator EXP: Audio Technica OC9, Goldring Eroica LX, Ortofon Salsa. I couldn't afford any more ... Cry

I think you'll be very surprised how good the Audio Technica AT95E is at around £25 with the Reflex. After that it keeps getting better, but each cartridge has its different qualities - try reading this thread http://www.gspaudio-community.activeboards.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=199

Thanks. A very impressive selection - I take it you can claim back the tax! My moving coil is coming to the end of it's life span and I'm considering changing to MM and wanted an idea of what I should be testing.
