Wrong. The Accession volume/level control is followed by an active buffer stage to provide low impedance drive to subsequent stages. It doesn't apply any voltage gain, so I can understand how others might therefore believe it to be passive.

Hi Linda,
Thank you for your offer, but with a bit of research, you'd find we're wanting (me and my two colleagues, and most of our supporters) to "bring back" manufacturing to our own country (nothing personal). Your kind government already assists in manufacturing nearly all of Britain's old hi-fi brands and has made a chosen few very rich indeed. I read recently in a companies documents that HMRC (the British tax authority) has allowed one UK "group" to carry-on trading because your generous country doesn't want paying for the goods. It ensures that the company can continue scraping a profit. That's a great idea, and I'm sure wholly illegal and stinks like money laundering. Still, as you will know, governments can make up the rules as they go, primarily when being held to ransom by a considerable economic power (my opinion only). Anyway, please pass on my regards to chairman Xi. I think he's doing a great job in taking over the world. |

Let's just say that the "free world" is a fleeting fragile thing. The human race is slowly selling itself out to monopolies so large that they are not compatible with democracy or even basic human rights for that matter.

Whilst I have some appreciation for Ash's points, I like to believe that I choose the next record I play! |
