Recently seen the Audite Acoustics turntable isolation Platforms at NWAS and Staverton Park shows and wonder if anyone has one or demo listen to share opinion? There Brij model looks interesting but similar cost to the Townshend Platform.
In my case it would be for a L*nn Majik LP12. Thanks

My Roksan is very sensitive to footfall when mounted on a floor-standing rack due to wooden
house construction - a headache for a turntable owner. It is much better on a wall shelf fixed into the plasterboard cavity wall studding. Townshend claim isolation from 3Hz upwards from their 'Load Cell' which is probably not low enough to block all footfall - but would like to try one. The Audite looks interesting but don't seem to give a blocking freq. range. Cheers Edited by RichW - 17 Oct 2023 at 11:09am |

Thanks for your reply i think I am going to try the Townshend Platform as they have a 30 day return period. Take your point ref wall mounted though.

Do post your experience with the Townshend platform if you try one.
The Hifiracks Podium wall shelf I use has two vertical lines of fixing holes in the back piece one of which can be lined up to enable fixing into the wall stud for a secure assembly. |

I am also a HiFi Racks Podium wall shelf user, as my room has a suspended wooden floor.
It works very well. Mine is mounted into one of the main structural roof supports.

The Podium is strong & well thought out - possibly designed with timber-framed houses
and cavity wall stud fixing in mind. With a heavy turntable it will tip forward a little & some form of leveling is required. |

Agreed. It could do with an additional support for a heavier turntable, but it would not look so nice.
I have thought about fitting an additional Isolation platform on it, but not sure it will do anything. I have "sprung" feet on my SL1200.
