That's fantastic! I'm really looking forward to hearing it when it's ready.

Me also, Phil.

What can I say? Well, here's the truth: one of our suppliers was tasked with obtaining mill-finish heat sink samples so our metalworkers could anodise them after machining a test run.

Mill finish means plain aluminium, silvery colour, but after waiting 4 weeks the sample heat sinks arrived, only to find they were black!

(please, no references to Peter Kaye's Phoenix Nights "Half a Shilling" folk band! Shocked)

Yes, it seems nobody listens anymore. If I'd wanted them already black anodised I would have bought them from Farnell to save time, but these have to be mill-finish.

I visited the metalworkers on Tuesday regarding this plus the Groove Runner casing and PSU1 Enigma label they are also manufacturing for me.

The 5V 3A PSU case is currently residing on the CAD machine in the punching department office, ready to go on the giant CNC punching press on the factory floor. I am hoping they will now run the machine, and also do the heat sink machining, so we at least have a couple of case "kits" to approve.

Unlike the orange Wacko one, "Trumpf" is entirely predictable.

I’ve been to the Trumpf factory in Schramburg in the Swabian alps you’ve got to love a laser cutter.
