....Globalisation is what we've got, and from where I'm sat, it stinks to high heaven.....

Nothing is permanent ......And this Globalisation has already ...a "Sell By"  date printed

See above.

When we get the all knowing eye of AI, developing an idea will take seconds or even less!

Old Davros won't need people, only his Daleks, firstly to exterminate! Then they can look after old Davros in his boring empty world for all eternity...

Ah well! That was just a childhood nightmare. It isn't happening today, is it? Or did the BBC pre-condition us... ?

But until then it's good old human trial and error. No instant gratification in this topic!

No, it plods on, hopefully a bit faster than 20 m.p.h.

I did manage to draw things in SECE (that's Solid Edge Community Edition - seeing this is a community - is there anybody out there?).

Take a look at those whizz kids doing their YouTube vids in Solid Edge. Wow! Such understanding. Knowledge has certainly been increased.

No, I'm just here at the start having learnt the basic hieroglyphics - able to use basic shape generation, and to push and pull stuff to where I need it to be using "smart dimension", laboriously.

There will be room for improvement, but for the time being I'm working my way through this batch of RS 300x200 aluminium sheet as sparingly as possible - on my shoestring budget.

That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

the " Modular design" is a good rationale and tacking modules will be .....?!?! special ribbon type or special specified cable tags ......and there is a big industry out there specifying the gauze the metal for all audio internal wiring ........And genius to have a back panel to store the wiring
Grateful to read You on the matter of the specified wiring .....silver plated /Copper / Tin copper and plated or twisted

thinking about it, and you do stir my old derange cognitive box to make neurons reach neurons but How do you power the Modules from one source and cables carrying power and signal requires their own characteristic specifications

Graham you are treading a familiar path! My first build was created in a Rack style chassis with a floating front panel, all 'posted' into the back of a timber cabinet which my Dad had made. It was built like the proverbial 'brick house', completely over engineered, all made from aluminium sheet and square bar so really easy to source and machine, and no folds!
