Came across this link about a guy who has designed a 16 bit usb only dac (a rather expensive one).

Jason Kennedy blog

Even more controversially his magazine column focuses on how Scott (the designer) is preaching that volume control through software replay gain can often sound better than analogue pre amps or at least the pots used on a lot of them.

Won't be much controversy for long...

NXP discontinued making the TDA1543.

On-Semi who are the other Philips legacy manufacturers don't do any digital audio.

That none should be able to buy or sell without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

I'm sure that I read somewhere that there is an industrial part that still exists and maybe AMR are using it in cd player.

There is a last chance buy-out at NXP but it may have expired. Then there are component factoring companies like IC Blue who match redundant batches with buyers - at a price though.

AMR uses the discontinued Philips TDA1541A, they must have brought a batch of old stock.

Is it classA ???

NOS 16 x parallel TDA1543 with shunt regulation.  I've built a few diy NOS based dacs in the past using TDA1541A and TDA1543.  These old chips can produce a pleasing sound and are pretty cheap for the diyer.
Some of the latest dac chips have really come along though allowing new designs to really perform.
